ROOME / TROY / NEW YORK Open Pontil & Olive Color! Heres a recent discovery of a very nice early American snuff bottle.

ROOME / TROY / NEW YORK in three lines across the face of the bottle. It was hand blown into a two part mold in a yellow olive green colored glass, circa 1850.

It has a sheared lip and a diagonal mold seam base and a jagged open tube pontil. I also note a large recessed dot on the base. Has been cleaned inside & out and looks great, no stains, chips, cracks or damage. Super nice character, thousands of tiny bubbles with nice whittle & crudity to the glass.
