It is about 9 1/2" tall and the base is 2 3/4" x 2 3/4. The bottle has a crude applied top which is slightly off-center, along with a sloppy drip under the collar. The dip in the lip is from manufacturing. I dug this bottle and nothing has been done to it.There is a large, crude circular pontil on the base which has two open bubbles and a flake from manufacturing. There are no other cracks or chips. On the lip, there is a super tiny ping which is shown in one of the photo's; it is very small.
The bottle is somewhat green with a bit of amber color and bubbles in the crude glass. The base is much thicker glass than the shoulders. There is some light internal cloudiness. It is my understanding that this bottle with No. 1 embossing is pretty rare.
Please examine photo's carefully for the condition. Good Luck and Thanks for Looking. TOWNSEND'S SARSAPARILLA ALBANY N.
