Rare pontil SHAKER medicine bottle New Lebanon NY

Embossing - SHAKER PREPARATION NEW LEBANON N. Description - This is one of the rare large size New Lebanon NY Shaker bottles. A similar one with a Syrup of Sarsaparilla label can be seen at the Winterthur Museum.

The bottle is 7 tall and embossed on two sides. A fairly large bottle as Shaker bottles go. The bottle is light aqua and has a whittled look to the glass. Condition - The bottle has no cracks or chips but does have a lot of surface etching, internal stain, and fine scratches from being in the ground.

There is a small potstone in a shoulder corner (shown in the photos). Not the best example but there aren't many of these around.
