Crudities are typical of its age and date of manufacture, including whittling, bubbles, and asymmetry. The vibrant blue glass has not been tumbled, so appears somewhat hazy or opaque. Samuel smith (also of new york) produced a soda water around the same time with the same name and address embossed on it, indicating that 164 18th street may have been a bottling house shared by both businesses.
