This is an Original, Antique 1850's-Era, Mold-Blown, American, Black-Glass Mineral Water Bottle, from Saratoga Springs New York U. The Bottle is Cylindrical, in Shape, and Features, Embossing on the Front, which says: CLARKE + WHITE / SARATOGA, N. " The Bottle Features a Crudely, Applied Double, Sloping-Collared Top or Lip-Finishing, which is Very Early, Crude, Drippy and Good Looking, The Base of The Bottle Features a Circular, somewhat sharp, "Sand-Chip" Pontil Scar, which is wide and easily is 2" across. CONDITION: The Bottle is in Great, Original, Early Estate-Found Bottle w/ NO MAJOR FORMS OF DAMAGE!

NO CHIPS, NO TRUE CRACKS, NO OPEN-BUBBLES. There are No other "Issues" what-so-ever, with this great, scarce and early Saratoga Type Mineral Water Bottle. I got this bottle, last summer, from an Old, friend, and antique bottle collector / dealer in Massachusetts, who was vending at a local antique sale, and this prized bottle had long, been in his personal bottle collection many decades! The "Clarke + White" Saratoga-Type Mineral Water Bottle, was used to bottle the lovely Mineral-Rich, delicious, naturally effervescent, ground-well water, of the "Congress Spring" in Saratoga New York. These Bottles were made as early as 1850, and are usually "smooth-based" and are seldom, seen with a "Pontil Mark" on the base of the bottle.
