1880s Pettits Cough Cure Sealed Bottle Box Sealed Quack Medicine NOS Fredonia NY. Here is a great old advertising/quack medicine unopened box of Pettit's American Cough Cure liquid tonic. This box is unopened and I believe the bottle never has been taken out of the box. You can see the bottle, it still has the liquid in there and I can hear it shake. The paper is torn down one side of the box but not the other, the ends are still sealed but one end is questionable, but the paper there is still attached to the other side. Well, if that matters to anyone else. I don't know what kind of label it has or even if one is there. It stands 7 1/4" tall x 2 1/2" wide x 1 1/2 thick.

The paper is worn in places and has a few stains here and there, maybe some moisture damage, and there is still some red coloring on the front label under "consumption". This bottle is from around the late 1880's.

I don't know the amount of liquid in this bottle, maybe somewhere around 8-12 oz. This is a great advertising piece, I hate to get rid of it but I have too many items.... Too little time to enjoy and actually play with them all.
