1887 GAIL BORDEN NY CONDENSED MILK Co Advertising Sign Baby, Puppy with Bottle. This is an antique original light cardboard lithographed advertising sign given to store keepers for display. The size is about 10-1/16" x 15". This shows a baby with her puppy that is drinking from her milk bottle. First image is close-up; second image is full sign.

It is rough at the edges as shown but color is still bright and subjects are fine. Bottom corners and other small edge pieces missing as shown.

2 tape repairs on back. One unusual fiber repair at about 3 o'clock. Has the original brass ring that fits in the top center, but not securely attached (needs repair); used to hold a piece of string for hanging in a grocer's or a druggist store. This sign would match the smaller Victorian trade card given to customers. The bottom front left reads: NY CONDENSED MILK CO.

Note: The company name was changed to Borden's Condensed Milk Co. This is not dated but would have been made in about 1887. The reverse has the Gail Borden Eagle Brand Condensed Milk logo, information on the use of their milk, directions for use with babies, additional info and their New York City address.
