Here is offered a very nice civil war era Sarsaparilla bottle embossed on three separate beveled sides as follows: Old Dr/ J. Townsend s // Sarsaparilla // New York. This outstanding hugh bottle is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or dings as well as no interior clouds or haze. The only issue that keeps this bottle from being near mint are some spots of exterior surface wear on the beveled edges, bottom of base, and the unembossed side.

Photo 9 which is a picture of the base best represents this medium green color for the whole bottle. The embossing is very large and the smooth base has a large circular deeply concave depression.
