Beautiful Citron Green Hayward's Hand Fire Grnade Pat. 1871 Broadway Ny Rare

This is a real pretty scarce citron green Hayward's Hand Fire Grnade hand blown glass fire extinguisher bottle with 1871 patent date embossed! This is an empty bottle with no contents as you can plainly see. The amber one is listed separately... This bottle is embossed HAYWARD'S HAND FIRE GRNADE boldly in one sunken diamond shape panel....

8 1871 in 2nd sunken diamond panel..... HAYWARD 407 BROADWAY NY in 3rd sunken diamond panel..... 4th diamond is plain but has peened out embossing..... A big number 3 on bottom.....

Hand tooled ring collar with ground top which is covered by original lead seal which has a hand throwing a bottle.... Beautiful citron yellow green color..... Unique round shape with sunken diamond panels and sunken V ribs.... Excellent attic mint condition with no chips or damage.... Inside is empty and clean. Still has the original copper wire around neck for hanging from a nail or something....

A hole was drilled through the top plaster seal and liquid drained completely out. When the bottle broke it would release a cloud of gas which was supposed to extinguish the fire. This is a rare color Hayward bottle to find! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
