Here's a real nice attic mint CLEAR Hayward's Hand Fire Grnade blown glass fire extinguisher bottle with 1871 patent date embossed! This is an empty bottle with a hole drilled through the plaster plug in neck where the contents were drained out. The bottle has not been harmed or damaged in any way.
It is embossed HAYWARD'S HAND FIRE GRNADE boldly in one sunken diamond shape panel.... 8 1871 in 2nd sunken diamond panel..... HAYWARD 407 BROADWAY NY in 3rd sunken diamond panel..... A big number 2 on bottom..... Smooth lip with ring around neck.....Unique round shape with sunken diamond panels and sunken V ribs.... Excellent attic nice condition with no chips or damage..... Still has original copper hanging wire around neck with loop. Also copper wrap around neck.
There is a hole drilled through the concrete neck plug where the contents were drained.... When the bottle broke it would release a cloud of gas which was supposed to extinguish the fire. Unless you contact me first.
