YOUNGS / WILD CHERRY / BITTERS / BROOKLYN / N. Here is a very rare and really gorgeous looking bitters bottle from the 1860 - 1870's. These are very hard to come by. The bottle is rectangular in shape with round corners. It is a tooled round collar mouth.
It stands 8 1/4" tall and 3 3/4" wide by 2 1/4 deep. The glass is very heavy and thick as well. This one is in immaculate condition with no issues whatsoever. And the glass is nice and clean. There are no forms or damage or any kinds of imperfections at all...And the color of this bottle is outrageous. It's a deep fiery red amber color in the middle of the bottle and then lightens up around the edges and corners of the glass to a more yellowish amber color. Just a really nice sparkling example.
The glass has some nice streaks and swirls in the glass as was done during the making of this piece. The reverse of this bottle has a deep hourglass or "bowtie" indentation on it. Most likely where a paper label would have gone. Top shelf example right here...
