E ANTHONY NEW YORK Ambrotype Wet Plate Photography Chemical Bottle c1860s-80s

Up for sale is this. Rare E ANTHONY NEW YORK Ambrotype Wet Plate Photography Chemical Bottle c1860s-70s. In raised lettering from the mold is E ANTHONY NEW YORK. On the opposite side from the "E ANTHONY NEW YORK" in raised glass is a measurement scale in 1 ounce increments.

The top being 8 and above the 8 in raised lettering "OUNCES". This would have held chemicals for the collodion / wet plate ambrotype or tintype process. The square shaped bottle has some normal manufacturing small bubbles/marks and is in great condition.

No chips or cracks not even a flea bite. The bottle is about 6-1/4 inches tall and the base is about 2-1/4 inches square. The lip of the bottle is 1 inch in diameter with an opening of ½ inch. There is a small amount of dust in the bottom. The bottom is smooth and the glass is clear. The photos are part of the description and represents the actual item well.
