Up for sale is this "LEWIS & HOLT" Glass Wet Plate Collodion Bottle c1860. Embossed on the glass is "LEWIS & HOLT" and 152 CHATHAM St and NY. The bottle would have held Lewis &. Holts negative and zylo-iodized Collodion. Is from The American Photographic Almanac c1866. And is not included but is only for supporting documentation. Bottle is great condition with no flea bites or cracks. It does have some small and large bubbles as was made and some crazing in the neck also probably as made.

The bottle measures approximately 2-3/8" wide by 6-1/8" tall. Lewis, who had already established himself in the manufacture and distribution of other photographic supplies. Moved his gallery to 152 Chatham Street in 1860, and advertised Lewis and Holts Collodion. Per Craig's Daguerreian Registry. The photos are part of the description and represents the actual item well.
