This example with light edge wear which is most notable to spine ends and light nudging to the upper tips but otherwise a clean, square, and well kept copy. The dust jacket has some trivial edge wear and the light rubbing which seems to always show on this title due to the black back. Message was the author's second novel and, in our experiences, has always been the hardest to obtain signed. This book served as the basis for the phenomenally successful 1999 adaptation (Sparks' first) of the same name which starred Kevin Costner, Robin Wright, Paul Newman and a list of other notables. This copy is boldly signed on the title page with the author's typical flourish.
