This is an Original, Very Large, Antique, Mold-Blown, 1870's-Era, Western-Ale / Lager or Beer-Bottle, that was Made by the John Matthews (Gravitational Stopper) Company in New York City. Measuring about 11 1/2 High, The Bottle is Cylindrical, in Shape. It is Dense / Bright Orange-Amber, in Color with Beautiful Over-All "Crudeness" The Top of the Bottle is a Very Unique, "Applied" Single--Sloping Collar with a Special Bulbous Shaped Neck that is Part of the Clever Patented Matthews Carbonation-Stopper, that appeared on Many Early Hutchinson Style Soda-Bottles. The Bottle is Very Boldly Embossed w/ Large Early Hand-Carved Characters: C. / CELEBRATED / CALIFORNIA POP BEER / PATENTED OCT.

The Base is Embossed, w/ MADE BY JOHN MATTHEWS / PAT. This is a Spectacular + Super Crude Bottle with Lots of Eye-Appeal + Very Crude, Early Style, Crooked + Great-Looking Embossed Letters + Patent-Dates!! CONDITION: The Bottle is in Great, Original, (Possibly Lightly "Tumbled") Condition w/ a Tiny "Flea-Nip" on the Top of the Lip that is Hard-To-See. Some Case-Wear + Indications of "Repeated-Usage" but NO OTHER FORMS OF "DAMAGE", NO CHIPS, NO CRACKS, NO "POT-STONE RADIATIONS", NO OPEN-BUBBLES, NO BRUISES, NO DISTRACTING SCUFFS, NO DISTRACTING STAINING, NO ABRASIONS, NO DINGS.
