TOWNSEND - SARSAPARILLA - NEW YORK Deep Icy Blue Aqua, 9 ½ x 3 in, Iron/Graphite Pontil, Applied tapered collar Mouth/Lip. Beautiful example of the OLD Dr. This bottle has just about everything you would want in an early patent medicineGreat Color, Crudity and Character. The glass has several Opaque swirls with thousands of microscopic bubbles flowing through it, up close the swirls resemble our Milky Way Galaxy! Deep kick-up base with a super Pontil, probably Iron.
The bottle has some extremely light/minor wear in places but nothing to describe in detail. The only condition issue to discuss is a sliver of glass missing from the outside edge of the Iron Pontil. In my humble opinion this does nothing to detract from the overall presence and/or value of this fine bottle. I managed to get a close-up of the area, see photo #10.
