For sale we have an complete original untouched scarce small size Wm. Y cigar or tobacco jar. We date this jar to the early 1880's.

The jar is in the smaller size which is scarcer and more difficult to find than the larger size jar. The jar has a very nice crude look with nice small seed bubbles throughout the jar and a beautiful shaded amber color. The embossing is very pronounced and strong. This is another excellent window jar.

This example has the thin ground lip with some minor grinding flakes on the inside of the lip. These are in the making. The jar and lid are in attic condition. The lid has a nice aged patina on the outside and it has no holes or splits.

The lid tightens securely and is original to the jar. The color is a rich shaded golden amber and shimmers in the sunlight. The condition is attic with no chips, cracks, bruises, stains or alterations. We only see some outer base wear and some washable content in the base. This jar has not been dug nor cleaned.
