Embossing - YOUATT'S GARGLING OIL COMSTOCK & BRO. Description - This is the large early rectangular version of Youatt's Gargling Oil.

This medicine was an attempt by the Comstock Brothers patent medicine empire to tap into the success of Merchants Gargling Oil. This rarely seen large size is 7 1/2 tall and embossed on the front. All four sides have recessed panels. Condition - The bottle has no cracks or other damage. When the pontil rod was snapped off it took a ring of glass from around the pontil scar that can be seen in the photo. Not considered damage but mentioned to be thorough in the description.
