Rare Glass Joe Jaccarino 17-19 Rapelye St. Brooklyn, N. Y. Sorrento Bottling Co
Vintage, rare, bottle from Brooklyn, N. Which is from an extremely elusive bottling company. The obverse of body reads'Sorrento Bottling Co. With a beautiful emblem of the beverage company, which appears to be 2 or 3 lillys intertwined. Then'Joe Jaccarino 17-19 Rapelye Street Brooklyn, N. Then a small 2 just at the heel. Bottle is a bit over 11 inches and weighs in at almost 2 lbs. It is a pale aqua color. It is in excelent condition, what looks like marring at shoulder is just actually residue which will come out after a good cleaning. The bottle has some nice long bubbles and one exterior one. This was made with an Owens Automatic Glass Bottle machine at the turn of the century ca. It features a well centered suction tear mark at the base and joined by parison mold seams. This was made with a four part mold with a cup style base. It has the digits'22' and the capital letter'C' on the crown finish. An interesting anomaly which shows this was a very early Owens Machine product is the convex nature of the base.
It was not kicked in properly, so much so that it twirls like a top on a flat surface!
