Rare James Butler 28 Oz Blue Tinged Bottle C. 1882 New York Irish Merchant

James Butler opened his first grocery store in New York in 1882. By the time of his death in the 1930s, he operated over 1000 stores, purchasing storefronts in choice locations throughout the city as they became available, second only to A&P. He is hailed as the first grocery chain owner. Examples of his bottles are extremely rare today.
