A scarce early pre prohibition 1890s pottery whiskey jug from Rochester, New York with applied handle and original cork stopper. In fancy gold fired on enamel print on front..... Sheaf of barley or grain on both sides..

Thick heavy stoneware jug with applied strap handle..... Excellent condition with no chips or damage of any kind. A couple natural surface cooling lines on unglazed bottom from when it was made; not damage. A nice clean jug with no stains.
