For sale is a set of three quart seed jars that were originally used in a retail store setting to hold the seeds until they were dispensed. Each jar is labeled either rutabaga, parsnip, or squash. There also is a tag describing the vegetable's strain, germ, lot number, and date of manufacture. Penciled in on the labels are the price per ounce or per quarter pound (all under a dollar).On the back of the tags is a guarantee that the seeds were from the Page Seed Company of Greene, NY. This firm was established in 1896 in Upstate New York and is still in business.
The bottles are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The bottle tops have minor loss of paint around the edges, but the tops are in great shape.
