Spring Bitters W. D. Shedd Jamestown, Ny Unlisted Labeled Bottle Gardner Collection

Here's a rare unlisted labeled Spring Bitters bottle from Jamestown, New York which was in the famous Charles Gardner collection. No embossing in the glass, but has all of its original 1870s paper labels... SPRING BITTERS (picture of 2 women at a spring of water) AN ELEGANT BITTER Much Used in Dyspepsia.... (all on main front panel). Full label on back sunken panel reads..... SPRING BITTERS CERTAIN SPEEDY CURE FOR DYSPEPSIA.... Neck label reads SPRING BITTERS.

Hand tooled tapered lip with original cork.... Excellent attic mint condition with no chips or damage of any kind. Both labels are dark from age, but readable.

This bottle is not listed in the bitters book by Ring & Ham. Here's your chance to acquire a unique labeled bitters bottle with wonderful provenance from the Gardner Collection, which was auctioned off in 1975 by Norm Heckler.
