Condition : In perfect "used" condition, the bottle opener stands 7" tall on a 2.5" wide base with the bottle opener at the bottom. And it fits nicely in your hand to easily open bottles.

After an infamous raid in 1930,'21' founders Jack Kriendler and Charlie Berns enlisted architect Frank Buchanan to design a system of camouflaged doors, invisible chutes, quick-release bar shelves, and a secret wine cellar. It worked--they were never caught again.

The "21 Club" originally opened in 1922 but moved in 1930 to its famous location which was considered one of the finest establishments in New York City. A favorite culinary and social landmark for over 90 years. The "21" Club, a former prohibition speakeasy, was one of the finest establishments in New York City. The C considered one of New York City's finest establishments opened its doors in 1922 by cousins Jack Kreindler and Charlie Berns.

The 21 Club quickly became a favorite among celebrities and housed the private wine collections of Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, John F. It was also the first date spot for Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart!

Standing guard on the balcony above the entrance to'21' is a group of ornamental jockeys, donated by some of the best-known stables in American thoroughbred racing. Sportsman, entrepreneur, and long-time patron, Jay van Urk, presented'21' with its first jockey in the early 1930s. The quirk caught on, and donations from the likes of the Vanderbilt, Mellon, and Ogden Mills Phipps families soon followed. Bottle opener is in new condition, no box.
