Vintage Honk Falls Swell-Center Hunter, Coke Bottle Knife, Napanoch, NY

Honk Falls swell-center hunter, aka coke bottle knife is based on the Napanoch X100X pattern, as was the Winchester 1920. Knife is 5-1/4 inches closed and 9-1/2 inches with single, long pull clip blade open. Handles are jigged bone, liners are brass and bolsters are nickel silver. Condition is used NKCA Excellent. The bone handles are very attractive, but there is a chip broken out in the front handle by the cap bolster.

The blade has been expertly cleaned and has no pits or scratches. The tang stamp is weak, but legible.

Blade is full length and 97% width with half stop, powerful snap and no wobble. Was incorporated in 1921 by former employees of the Napanoch Knife Co. New machinery was installed and 15 workers initially employed. They remained in business until 1939.
