General - American Pre-Civil War Era 10-sided Soda Water. Hand blown, hand applied rounded taper, iron pontil base. KNICKER - BOCKER - SODAWATER - 164.18TH ST. 1848, embossed vertically on 5 alternating panels which are flat.
There are also 5 blank panels that are rounded. Size - 7-1/4" Tall and 2-5/8" at the base. KNICKERBOCKER color, style and form.
Mostly clear and clean glass, some inside haze. Also see full condition noted above. Full 3/4 inch kicked-up iron pontil base with a generous amount of pontil rod residue left and jagged glass remains on base as well.Small open bubble noted on base. Otherwise glass is in very nice condition for age and type of bottle. Summary - Excellent example of a 1848 W. Nice Bottle for New York City and State Bottle/Glass collections, or would be a fine addition to any collection.
