This listing is for a rare Whitall Tatum and Co. Hand-blown glass museum specimen jar. Does include the metal clamp. The jar dates from between 1895 and 1900 and is hand-blown soda lime glass. Imperfections including a few small bubbles.
And slight waviness in the sides of the glass due. Has a slight fold where it was attached to the jar body. The flange is ground glass as seen in the. The lid of the jar reads WHITALL. TATUM & Co PHILADELPHIA NEW YORK PAT. The lid also has two small hooks from which a specimen could have been suspended. Both the jar and lid have no chips, cracks, clouding or damage.This jar includes the metal screw. Clamp to hold down the lid of the jar. Clamp shows signs of rust but is still entirely functional.
