RADAM'S "MICROBE KILLER" NEW YORK CITY in bold black underglaze print on front shoulder..... Excellent condition with only a natural chip at base edge & a small faint glaze hairline on outside surface only. No other issues A nice clean jug with no stains.

Still has original cork stopper. This jug with NEW YORK CITY is harder to find....

Big amber glass bottles from this company are dated 1883 and have a man clubbing a skeleton trade mark.... The claim is made boldly on the bottle CURES ALL DISEASES. Government passed the Pure Food & Drugs Act in 1906, they came after Radam for false advertising, etc.

Samples of the Microbe Killer were analyzed and found to contain 99% water and 1% acid. Needless to say, the "Microbe Killer" was a notorius fraud and did no medical good. The government raided Radam's warehouse and destroyed all the bottles and jugs they could find..
