Xtra Tall Whales + Birds Pictorial Vintage Makah / Nootka Indian Bottle Basket

Nice old vintage large / tall sized basketry over a bottle with wonderful pictorials of multiple whales as we l as flying geese on this Nootka / Makah / NW Coast lidded basket with a beautiful warm patina. These baskets were made up and down the Washington and British Columbia coast. This one has a classic Makah / Nootka plaited cedar start while the rest of the basket is made twined sea grass and an area near the top of the bottle that has some more exposed cedar slats. FIT FOR ANY COLLECTION FROM GROWING THROUGH ADVANCED and it has NO RESERVE!
